BERNINA of America, Aurora, Ill., recently announced Julie G. from Los Gatos, Calif., as the winner of its third and final WeAllSew Challenge.
Julie G. received a $1,000 BERNINA gift card and a post about her other projects on the WeAllSew blog.
Additionally, Cheryl R. from Cleveland was randomly selected as the winner of the WeAllSew Sweepstakes and received a BERNINA 730 E sewing machine, valued at about $5,000.
The theme of the third WeAllSew Challenge was “Break the Spell of Routine Halloweens!” Participants were asked to upcycle the “scariest” items in their closet into a stylish new costume for the Halloween season. Julie G. turned her old black-and-white maternity pants into a “Baby Snoopy” costume for her son.
A panel of BERNINA experts judged the entries based on three criteria: the number of votes each project received on Facebook, the project description and the finished project.
