Roland Equipment Used for Animal Planet Television Series

Published: August 30, 2012

Fish tanks created using Roland DGA Corp., Irvine, Calif., equipment have been featured on the Animal Planet television series “Tanked.”

The show follows two brothers-in-law — Wayde King and Brett Raymer — as they run their aquarium company, Acrylic Tank Manufacturing (ATM). The two brothers rely on a Roland VersaCAMM VS-640 wide-format inkjet printer/cutter and a Roland EGX-360 Rotary Engraving Machine to design their unconventional projects.

Various projects that used the Roland large-format inkjet printer/cutter have been showcased on “Tanked,” including a one-of-a-kind “Mob” fish tank for the Tropicana Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, as well as the “New York Phone Booth” and “Pinball Machine” tanks built for private residences.
