On Jan. 17, GroupeSTAHL, St. Clair Shores, Mich., held a special preview breakfast before the start of the Imprinted Sportswear Shows (ISS) event in Long Beach.
Executive Chairman Ted Stahl and CEO Brian Sukarukoff welcomed about 200 show attendees at the breakfast, which was held in the Stahls’ Decorating Welcome Center.
The over-arching topic at the preview was the major “sea change” occurring in the industry, with a focus on the demand for performancewear and full-color logos.
In addition to a continental breakfast and goodie tote bag — which included a limited-edition signed T-shirt designed by Dane Clement and heat-applied product samples — guests were privy to information on new decorating technologies and solutions to challenges initiated by new trends.
The company debuted its new TEK line of heat-transfer materials, which allows low-temperature applications with stretch and rebound on performance and highly technical fabrics. In partnership with Epson, Stahls’ also featured the SureColor F2000 direct-to-garment printer.
Additionally, Stahls’ announced a partnership with The Wild Side, a transfer manufacturer that offers a large collection of high-definition stock transfers.
Great Dane Graphics, another member of the GroupeSTAHL family, was on hand to talk to guests about “art that sells shirts,” whether via direct-to-garment printing, screen printing, heat printing, print/cut, CAD-CUT materials or sublimation. Guests also learned more about CadworxLIVE, another solution to artwork needs.
After the morning preview, the Stahls’ Welcome Center was open through Jan. 18, offering attendees ongoing demos of products and equipment, and hands-on experience with the latest innovations in garment decorating.
