IRVINE, Calif.—Roland DGA has announced the launch of the TrueVis VG4 Series, a next-generation line of eco-solvent print-and-cut devices engineered to deliver premium-quality graphics with greater efficiency and ease of use.
Available in 54-inch (VG4-540) and 64-inch (VG4-640) models, the new series builds on Roland DG’s TrueVis platform, combining refined image quality, advanced automation and reduced operating costs for sign makers and print service providers.
Enhanced Image Quality and Expanded Color Range
The TrueVis VG4 Series introduces high-precision ink droplet control and advanced color processing to produce sharper detail, smoother gradients and consistent color reproduction.
Roland DG’s expanded TR3 eco-solvent ink lineup now includes Red and Light Black, enabling more accurate brand color matching, richer mid-tones and improved neutral greys. Existing ink options, such as Orange, Green, Light Cyan, Light Magenta and White, support vibrant, high-definition output across applications including signage, vehicle wraps, labels and decals.
White ink performance has also been improved, delivering higher density and faster output for layered and backlit graphics.
Streamlined Workflow and Smarter Production
Designed for efficiency, the VG4 Series simplifies daily operations with several workflow enhancements.
Users can initiate print jobs directly from the printer’s control panel, reducing reliance on RIP workstations. Integration with Roland DG Connect enables remote job management, including output preparation, monitoring and print initiation from virtually anywhere.
The printers ship with VersaWorks 7 RIP software, offering faster processing, native PDF 2.0 support, advanced color tools and variable data printing capabilities to ensure consistent, repeatable results.
Additional features such as stored media presets, a take-up unit and perforation sheet cutting support long-run, unattended production while minimizing setup time and operator intervention.
Lower Costs and Improved Sustainability
The VG4 Series is engineered to reduce operational costs through improved ink efficiency and optimized print modes, delivering up to 30% lower ink consumption compared to competitor devices.
Enhanced self-maintenance capabilities allow users to replace key components, reducing service downtime and maintenance costs.
TR3 inks are GBL-free and supplied in cardboard-based cartridges, supporting sustainability initiatives. Finished prints are GREENGUARD Gold certified, making them suitable for indoor environments such as retail, hospitality and public spaces.
New Brand Identity: “Make Your Mark”
The TrueVis VG4 Series is the first product launched under Roland DG’s refreshed global brand identity, centered around the message “Make Your Mark.”
The rebrand reflects the company’s shift toward delivering complete print ecosystems combining hardware, software, supplies and service to help customers scale production and create impactful work.
“With the TrueVis VG4 Series, we’ve focused on delivering what matters most to sign makers today—outstanding image quality, predictable color and a smarter, more efficient workflow,” said Ryugo Nimura, Executive Officer, Global Sales and Marketing Division, Roland DG.
