NEW YORK — SEDDI has introduced its Product Creation API, allowing apparel businesses and technology providers to integrate 3D product visualization and automated production documentation into their existing e-commerce and order management systems.
The technology makes the product creation capabilities behind SEDDI Decorator available to third-party platforms, enabling businesses to generate realistic product imagery and technical specification packages, known as techpacks, from configurable garment information.
Through recipe-based API requests, users can specify apparel styles, colors, sizes, artwork and decoration placements to create digital representations of customized garments.
According to SEDDI, the system uses digital replicas of real-world blank apparel styles rather than simply overlaying graphics onto existing product photographs. This approach is intended to provide more consistent visual representations of decorated garments.
Connecting Apparel Visualization With Production
SEDDI’s Product Creation API supports several stages of the branded apparel ordering process, including online storefronts, customer order portals and order management systems.
For e-commerce businesses, the technology can generate product imagery across multiple garment styles, colors and decorated variations without requiring each image to be created manually.
Within customer order portals, the API can provide visual representations of customized apparel as buyers configure products and review designs before placing orders.
The technology also allows businesses to connect approved product visuals with production documentation, helping carry garment specifications and decoration details into order fulfillment workflows.
Each API request can generate up to four views of a customized apparel product. Businesses can request product imagery, techpacks or both, depending on their workflow requirements.
Interactive 3D Customization for Online Stores
In addition to automated product imagery, the API can support an interactive 3D Customizer that businesses can integrate into their own webstores and digital platforms.
The customization experience allows customers to select apparel styles and colors, add graphics, adjust artwork placement and size, rotate designs and explore different decoration techniques.
Users also can recolor artwork while viewing the configured garment in 3D.
Once a design is finalized, the Customizer generates an updated product recipe that can be submitted through the Product Creation API to produce corresponding visuals and techpacks.
This connection between interactive customization and production documentation is intended to reduce manual work and improve consistency throughout the ordering process.
Supporting Automated Branded Apparel Workflows
For apparel decorators and promotional products businesses, the technology offers potential applications in online merchandise stores, corporate apparel programs and customized product ordering.
By automating product visualization and connecting approved designs with production specifications, SEDDI aims to help businesses manage larger product catalogs and offer more interactive purchasing experiences.
The Product Creation API also provides software developers and technology providers with a way to incorporate SEDDI’s apparel visualization capabilities into existing digital platforms.
