TeeCal Launches Web-Based Shop Management Platform for Apparel Decorators

Debuting at Impressions Expo Dallas, the rebuilt software combines quoting, artwork approvals, production scheduling, purchasing and invoicing in one system

HOUSTON — TeeCal has launched a new web-based shop management platform designed to help decorated-apparel businesses streamline operations from initial customer quotes through production and final invoicing.

The company unveiled the rebuilt software at Impressions Expo Dallas, held Oct. 21–23 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas.

Designed for screen printers, embroiderers, direct-to-garment (DTG) and direct-to-film (DTF) decorators, promotional products businesses and other customization shops, the platform brings quoting, artwork approvals, purchasing, production scheduling, payments and reporting into a single system.

According to TeeCal, the updated platform retains functionality from its previous software while introducing new tools for managing daily operations and tracking orders across departments.

“Our customers have trusted us to help run their shops for nearly two decades, so this release had to do two things: keep everything they already depend on, and give them a much clearer view of what’s happening across the shop every day,” said Joshua Bumgarden of TeeCal.

Real-Time Production and Artwork Management

Among the platform’s central features is Production Manager, which provides a live overview of scheduled jobs across machines and workstations.

The system allows production teams to identify delayed jobs, monitor work that exceeds planned production times and flag orders at risk of missing deadlines.

Operators can start, pause, complete, move or reschedule jobs directly from the interface, while automated updates reflect changes from scheduling, artwork and production departments.

Production Manager works alongside TeeCal’s Smart Scheduler, which estimates production times based on individual shop equipment settings, and a Job Board that allows operators to track assignments using live timers.

The platform also includes an Artwork Job Board that automatically creates artwork tasks for each imprint. Artists can review assignments, artwork thumbnails, production requirements and deadlines while updating job statuses.

Integrated Order Tracking and Invoicing

TeeCal’s new platform connects customer quotes and invoices within the same record, eliminating the need to re-enter order details as jobs move through production.

Shops can create quotes using pricing grids and markups, send artwork and invoices for online approval, and track deposits, payments and outstanding balances.

Color-coded production indicators provide a quick overview of job progress across artwork, purchasing, receiving and production. The system uses gray, red, yellow and green indicators to distinguish work that is waiting, blocked, in progress or complete.

Additional capabilities include purchase order management, inventory receiving, customer records, task calendars, 31 built-in reports and an Express Checkout feature for walk-in sales.

Role-Based Dashboards for Shop Teams

The software also introduces customizable dashboards based on employee responsibilities.

Users can be assigned roles that determine which information and tools they can access, allowing sales, artwork, production and administrative teams to focus on their respective tasks.

Employees who handle multiple responsibilities can view information from different departments within a single dashboard.

Founded in 2007, TeeCal reports that more than 690,000 invoices and sales have been processed through its software over the past seven years.
