Pat Noonan has been named SanMar’s first chief operating officer overseeing product, IT, distribution and enterprise resource planning.

The new executive structure comes as SanMar invests in product expansion, automated distribution and technology.

ISSAQUAH, Wash. — SanMar Corporation has appointed Pat Noonan to the newly created role of chief operating officer, bringing product, information technology, distribution and enterprise resource planning under his leadership.

Noonan, a 19-year SanMar veteran who has served as chief product officer since 2017, assumed the new position Sept. 13. He will continue leading the company’s product organization while adding oversight of IT, distribution and ERP operations.

New COO Role Supports SanMar’s Continued Expansion

SanMar says the new executive structure reflects its continued investment in the infrastructure supporting customers and industry partners.

In recent years, the company has expanded its product catalog and brand portfolio to more than 30 brands, announced plans to increase automated distribution capacity and accelerated investment in technology platforms used by distributors and decorators.

“This is a natural next step in strengthening our executive team, and it reflects the trust we have in Pat’s leadership,” says Jeremy Lott, SanMar president and CEO. “Bringing these functions under one leader will make it easier for these teams to work together, move quickly, and support our customers and each other well.”

Noonan Brings Product, Distribution and Technology Experience

Noonan joined SanMar in 2007 as a distribution process manager and later served as vice president of distribution and enterprise architecture before becoming chief product officer.

During his tenure, Noonan has been involved in brand launches including Mercer+Mettle and retail brands Richardson, Carhartt, Brooks Brothers and MiiR. He also played a central role in SanMar’s recent acquisition of BELLA+CANVAS.

His previous positions have given him experience across logistics, information technology and supply-chain management—areas that will now fall within the broader scope of his COO position.

“Throughout my career, I’ve believed that leadership starts with service,” Noonan says. “I’m honored to step into this new role and help connect the people, processes, and ideas that make a difference for our customers.”
