Lane Seven Launches ‘Meet The Innovator’ Campaign to Uplift Independent Creators

Published: July 18, 2025

Los Angeles—Lane Seven launched a new series, Meet The Innovator, where they spotlight the innovators, the makers, and the doers who use their blanks to build something bigger than a brand. The series is part of Lane Seven’s commitment to support independent creators by elevating their voice and helping them reach wider audiences.

The first feature introduces Matt Burke, an artist, screen printer, storyteller and founder of Strained Memory, a brand based in Tallahassee, Florida. Burke merges his art with local storytelling through short-form video content on social media where he shares overlooked pieces of Tallahassee’s history and captures the city’s quirks and charm. He designed his now-signature Tallahassee tee as a companion to the stories he was already telling online.

His hands-on approach shows up in everything he prints. “Every single shirt that I have ever put out has my literal thumbprint in the ink on it,” he adds. “For somebody like me that’s really important.”

He first discovered Lane Seven’s Vintage Tee in Cloud Black while working in a commercial print shop. “It was at that moment that I realized that I needed to figure out a design that would work on that blank.”

“We created Meet The Innovator to build a platform that supports our customers and celebrates their stories,” says Alexis Shubin, Director of Marketing at Lane Seven. “We hope to amplify the work they’re already doing and to inspire more creators and decorators to build more connections within their communities.”

Meet The Innovator will continue rolling out stories that reflect the values at the heart of Lane Seven: creativity, grit, and purpose.
