Kornit Debuts Avalanche DC Pro at SGIA Expo

Published: October 24, 2012

Kornit Digital, Rosh-Ha Ayin, Israel, debuted the Avalanche DC Pro solution to the North American market at SGIA Expo, which was held Oct. 18-20 in Las Vegas.

Avalanche DC Pro enables textile printing businesses seeking to enter the fashion industry to print on dark garments without a white layer base, which can create a thick feel on the design. With Avalanche DC Pro’s two additional print heads, a discharge chemical is applied to remove the dark garment’s dye molecules, providing a smooth base for CMYK and white printing, and also creating an ideal feel on the finished product, according to the company.

This solution also helps businesses achieve higher revenue and shorter turnaround times by using less white ink layers and eliminating the need for the pretreatment process, according to the company.

In addition to retaining key features of the existing Kornit Avalanche solution — high production rates, low printing and operation costs, and a large print area — the Avalanche DC Pro also provides complete control when using the combination of Oeko-Tex 100-approved discharge and white ink in a print.

At SGIA, Kornit enabled attendees to see the Avalanche DC Pro in action. Customers also viewed demonstrations on the Kornit Storm II and Kornit Breeze.
