The folks over at DCC say their Copperhead Matrix Di 4.0 automatic screen-printing press “redefines what’s possible” in garment printing.” And they may very well have a point. For starters, the press comes equipped with what DCC calls its “Squeegee Pressure Equalizer” system, a clamping arrangement designed to ensure the press always lays down the exact amount of ink necessary for precision printing. Taking things up a notch technology-wise, there’s the system’s SmartCloud 4.0 remote-monitoring and analytics platform, and a 15-inch HMI touchscreen for instant fingertip control. Finally, there’s what DCC calls its “VoiceCraft” technology, whereby the press itself is not only capable of keeping operators up to date on its status through a series of verbal commands, but operators have a catalog of voice commands they can employ as well, the better to control the production process.
