Roland DGA Corp., Irvine, Calif., has expanded its engraving software line with the introduction of EngraveLab Foundation for Roland.
This software program, designed for start-up businesses and others new to engraving technologies and applications, is compatible with all Roland EGX engraving machines, including the EGX-20, EGX-30A, EGX-350, EGX-360 and EGX Pro (400/600) series.
Priced at $499, the program can be paired with a Roland EGX engraver to produce custom awards, trophies, name tags, badges, jewelry, giftware and simple two-dimensional engraved signs.
“EngraveLab Foundation for Roland handles the vast majority of engraving jobs with ease and precision,” says Rachel Hammer, product manager for Roland DGA. “Powerful design tools, an intuitive interface and seamless integration with popular design software packages make it a great addition to any engraving shop, and especially to those businesses just getting started in this profitable application.”
The software includes more than 100 engraving fonts and 5,000 clipart images, and a host of drawing tools allow users to produce a variety of shapes and several text alignment options.
