STAHLS’ Fulfill Engine Adds AI Integration for Print-on-Demand Businesses

New connectivity with ChatGPT and Claude allows apparel decorators to analyze orders, identify sales trends and explore merchandise opportunities using conversational AI

ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. — STAHLS’ Fulfill Engine has introduced a new artificial intelligence (AI) integration that allows print-on-demand (POD) businesses to access and analyze their operational data through AI assistants, including ChatGPT and Claude.

The new connection enables authorized Fulfill Engine customers to ask questions about product performance, sales trends, orders and fulfillment activity without manually gathering records or generating reports.

For example, users can ask which online stores are experiencing the fastest growth, which decoration methods are driving sales or what products might complement their existing merchandise offerings.

Turning Business Data Into Actionable Insights

By connecting supplier catalogs, product specifications, decoration capabilities, orders and fulfillment information, Fulfill Engine enables AI assistants to analyze data across multiple aspects of a merchandise business.

The integration also allows customers to explore product details, including available decoration methods, print locations and specifications, helping them evaluate potential additions to their merchandise programs.

Early users have identified opportunities to reduce repetitive administrative tasks, including campaign reporting and payment reconciliation.

“The campaign list alone retires a weekly manual process for us, and the order item and shipment reads cover most of the legwork behind our weekly payment reconciliation,” said John LaRoy of Apparel Redefined, a Fulfill Engine beta tester.

Jayson Tompkins, chief digital officer at STAHLS’, said the integration represents a shift in how businesses interact with their operational information.

“Instead of navigating multiple screens, pulling reports, and trying to connect the dots, customers can simply ask questions about their business and get meaningful answers,” Tompkins said.

Connecting AI With Print-on-Demand Operations

Built using Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard for connecting AI tools with external systems, the integration allows customers to access their Fulfill Engine information through a ChatGPT plugin or a remote connector in Claude.

Availability depends on the customer’s AI subscription and workspace settings. An authorized Fulfill Engine account is required, and existing account permissions remain in effect.

STAHLS’ also sees opportunities to expand the technology beyond data analysis toward future capabilities involving product creation, online store development and automated business actions.
