Promotional Products Association International (PPAI), Irving, Texas, recently appointed new members to its board of directors.
The new board members include: Tom Goos, president of Image Source Inc., Kirkland, Wash.; and Kim Newell, president of World Wide Lines Inc., Covington, Tenn.
Goos has more than 15 years of branded-merchandise experience. He is a former two-term president of the Northwest Promotional Marketing Association, an advisor for the Center for Student Entrepreneurship at the University of Washington-Bothell and is a member of the brand strategy committee for the United Way of Snohomish County.
Prior to taking on her role as president of World Wide Lines, Newell was director of sales and vice president of operations for the company. She has been a PPAI member since 2009, and currently is serving on the Membership Services Action Group, Professional Development Action Group and Women’s Leadership Conference Work Group.
PPAI also has named Tom Carpenter, national sales manager for Scarborough Specialties Inc., Lubbock, Texas, as the new Regional Association Council (RAC) delegate to the board. He will serve as the RAC delegate for a two-year term. He is a promotional products veteran of more than 15 years, and has served on both the supplier and distributor sides of the industry. The new board members and RAC Board delegate will begin their terms immediately following The PPAI Expo 2013.
