Promotional Products Association Intl. (PPAI), Irving, Texas, met with members of Congress and federal agencies for the fifth-annual PPAI L.E.A.D. and Virtual Fly-In, held April 9-10 in Washington, D.C.
PPAI L.E.A.D. is a gathering of PPAI leadership, members and industry professionals from around the country who gather face to face and virtually to engage members of Congress.
“Actions taken by Congress directly affect the promotional products industry’s ability to conduct business and serve its customers,” said Paul Bellatone, president and CEO of PPAI. “Our continued goal of working closely with lawmakers on behalf of promotional products businesses, our members and their customers is more important than ever in order to protect our industry’s growth and economic competitiveness.”
During the event, nearly 70 advocates from 30 states conducted more than 250 meetings with senators, congressional representatives and their legislative staffs on Capitol Hill. Thousands of promotional products professionals from across the United States advocated for a host of issues by writing letters, emails and engaging social media outlets that focused on the importance of pending legislation and issues relevant to the promotional products industry.
