Brown Manufacturing Group Introduces New Dryer Control System

Published: November 26, 2012

Brown Manufacturing Group Inc., Wyoming, Mich., now offers TRX and TRXi software controls with its production textile curing units.

The new software allows a production floor to store the curing requirement for up to 36 different jobs. With touchscreen control, the operator can adjust the dryer to conform to the settings required when a print job changes. The system also allows operators to alter an existing program and save the change for future use.

A “heads-up” display, audible alarms and an industrial stack light communicate the machine’s status to the operator and the production floor manager. The system also tracks the costs of a job, and features a maintenance database that stores up to 12 tasks and their required completion requirements.

Some additional features of the TRX software include: a low-power, “eco-mode” setting, programmable auto-shutdown, multi-lingual functionality, touchscreen file management, onboard diagnostics system, control panel temperature sensors with alarm notifications, and SD-card and email software updates.
