Mind’s Eye Graphics Inc., Decatur, Ind., will host a professional screen making workshop in partnership with SAATI companies. The two-day, hands-on workshop will be held Feb. 22-23 at the Mind’s Eye Graphics facility.
All aspects of screen making will be addressed, including frame and mesh selection, rapid mesh tensioning, mesh prep, emulsion choice and coating techniques, exposure calculation and optimization, and reclaim options and screen chemistry choices in a textile printing environment.
Special attention will be paid to using and understanding screen testing and calibration equipment, including mesh tension and moisture meters, emulsion thickness gauges and exposure calculators.
Greg Kitson and the Mind’s Eye Graphics staff, along with Keith Perkins and Greg Jensen of SAATI companies, will provide instruction.
The $99-per-person workshop fee includes three meals with snacks and beverages. Each participant also will leave the session with samples of at least two different SAATI emulsions and various reclaim chemistry products, and will be entered in a drawing for various door prizes provided by industry vendors.
