Insta Graphic Systems, Cerritos, Calif., recently announced Janet A. Wells, president and CEO, was appointed by California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office to lead an emergency task force to help source qualified vendors of medical supplies.
Comprised of three other volunteer business leaders, the task force, under Wells’ leadership, will help find more than 2 billion emergency medical items, such as personal protective equipment (PPE) and other medical supplies — including N95 face masks, ventilators, face shields, gloves, scrubs, surgical gowns and test kits.
The items are of immediate necessity by the state, so the task force is looking for suppliers within local communities and overseas.
“Watching the fear, pain and panic in the faces of our doctors and nurses has moved me to tears,” Wells says, “so I am dedicating this period of my life to the selfless medical heroes who are risking their lives to save others.” — J.L.
