Best New Placketwear: S&S AllPro Polo

S&S Activewear’s AllPro brand includes the use of what the company calls its Pro-Flex fabric, a sustainable performance material comprised of a mix of materials, including 60-percent polyester pin-dot mesh and 40-percent Sorona—the latter a cutting-edge polymer, 37 percent of which is plant-based, thereby offering a 30-percent reduction in energy consumption during production and a 50-percent decrease in greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional synthetic fabrics. In contrast to traditional performance materials that tend to degrade when exposed to heat, UV light and chlorine, Sorona also holds up well when in use, extending its overall “lifecycle” and further reducing its environmental impact. Other positives include superior stretch recovery and enhanced ventilation thanks to its pin-dot mesh construction. S&S Activewear’s AllPro line is comprised of variety of styles, including both long- and short-sleeve tees. What we really love, though, is its collection of men’s, women’s and youth polos—great for golf, boating, you name. Last but not least, is the brand’s participation in the Sorona Common Thread Certification Program, ensuring transparency and traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
