Q: What new products and initiatives is Ninja Transfers most excited about?
At Ninja Transfers, we are constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of apparel decoration. We’ve set a new standard in DTF by upgrading our entire 100+ printer fleet to 9-Color VIVID AF DTF technology. By integrating Red, Orange, Green, and Blue (ROGB) with the standard CMYK+W, we’ve expanded our color gamut from 20,000 variations to a staggering 16.7 million colors. This leap allows us to hit color matches with 95% accuracy—nearly doubling the industry standard of 50%. Our print error rate has plummeted from 4% to less than 1%, ensuring your brand’s integrity is preserved in every single press.
Looking ahead, we are empowering our partners through the expansion of Ninja Printhouse. Our ecosystem is designed specifically to help print shops and PPDs say “yes” to every order. By leveraging our print capacity for blind-shipping directly to your customers, you can maintain your client relationships and fulfill massive volumes without the overhead of additional equipment.
Q: What role does sustainability and safety play in the way Ninja Transfers does business?
We are constantly innovating our workflow to carbon-offset our environmental impact. This commitment starts at our Philadelphia headquarters, where we have successfully offset 90% of our electricity usage through a massive investment in solar infrastructure. To address the logistics of a global supply chain, we give back to Shopify Carbon to offset trucking miles and packaging on nearly every shipment that leaves our dock. We utilize only OEKO-TEX certified consumables, guaranteeing that our transfers are as safe for the humans wearing them as they are for the environment.

Q: How do you see DTF technology evolving in the next 2–3 years in the decorative apparel market?
Over the next two to three years, direct-to-film (DTF) printing will likely evolve through refinement rather than major disruption. The core process is already highly optimized, so most improvements will focus on making printing easier, more consistent and more scalable.
Expect more reliable printheads and smoother workflows, along with incremental gains in inks and adhesives. While there’s interest in making prints more breathable, durability and wash performance will remain non-negotiable.
Film innovation will be where we see the most change, with developments like biodegradable or recyclable options, improved peel performance and specialty finishes. Ultimately, DTF will continue to deliver efficiency, flexibility and near plug-and-play production for decorators.
