Imprintables Warehouse, Carmichaels, Pa., has released a new video that demonstrates how to create perforated cuts using CorelDRAW, a Roland VersaCAMM and VersaWorks.
In the tutorial video (shown above), Steven Jackson, sales and education representative for Imprintables Graphics, shows how to set up a new palette to create a perforated-cut color, which is required to import into VersaWorks. He also demonstrates how to set up a perforated cut contour line in palette manager and gives step-by-step instructions on how to set up the job for outputting to the printer.
Offering stickers and decals with a perforated cut presents a more attractive, finished piece, according to the company. A perforated cut not only goes through the sticker material, but also the backing.
A perforated decal also can be produced with its own hangtag on which UPC, barcode or other information can be printed. Jackson shows examples of both at the beginning of the video.
