The Specialty Advertising Association of Greater New York (SAAGNY), New Rochelle, N.Y., recently elected three industry veterans to serve on its board of directors during its Annual Meeting.
In accordance with the association bylaws, the board of directors then elected five directors to serve as officers in 2014. All terms begin Jan. 1.
George Gorniok, MAS of supplier Notes Inc., was re-elected for a new term. Gorniok has served on the board of directors since January 2010, and has been serving as SAAGNY’s vice president/president elect for the past year. He will continue his service to SAAGNY as president.
Eric Rackoff, a Northeast account manager for distributor Staples Promotional Products, was also re-elected to a new four-year term. Having been appointed in 2009 to fill an unexpired term, Rackoff currently serves as the association secretary/treasurer and will serve as vice president/president elect in 2014.
Paul Sprunk, president of multiline rep firm Paul W. Sprunk Associates, joins the SAAGNY board after many years of active participation with SAAGNY, The SAAGNY Foundation and other industry groups. Sprunk is a former trustee of The SAAGNY Foundation and has chaired the foundation’s annual Lenore Goldberg Memorial Golf Outing for the past four years.
Rounding out the executive committee will be Rhonda Blum (D-Motivators Inc.) as secretary/treasurer; John R.B. Cudahy (S-Hit Promotional Products) as officer at large; and Michael Leone (S-Hit Promotional Products) as immediate past president.
