Bodek and Rhodes Celebrates Warehouse Addition with ‘BuildFest’

Published: August 13, 2014

To thank employees for their patience during the construction of its new 100,000-square-foot warehouse addition during the company’s 75th-anniversary year, Bodek and Rhodes, Philadelphia, celebrated with “BuildFest.”

The day featured a building theme, with employees dressed in bright construction gold T-shirts imprinted with the saying “I dig working here,” along with the company’s 75th-anniversary logo, and “Building Our Future” on the garment sleeve.

When everyone arrived at a giant tent adjacent to the new warehouse, they were greeted with replica yellow construction hats, and yellow and black balloons surrounding a gourmet feast featuring a build-your-own burger, cheesesteak and sandwich bar, and build-your-own sundae bar for dessert.

A special station at the event was a “pick-your-favorite-background-color” wall, where team members had their photographs taken for a photo mosaic wall mural that will commemorate Bodek and Rhodes’ 75th anniversary later in the year.
