InkSoft Adds New Training Resource Blog

Published: March 3, 2014

Inksoft, Albuquerque, N.M., has launched a new training blog called “Cup of Joe.”

The first topic featured on the blog is bulk editing product colors.

When choosing a style in multiple colors for an online store, it can be tedious and time consuming to upload colors and their accompanying photos one at a time. With a new Inksoft tool, users can grab a style from one of the integrated catalogs, and upload multiple colors and photos at one time.

Once a style is selected, users choose the option “download all colors using CSV.” CSV, or common separated value, is the file format needed to save the data in Microsoft Excel. Once saved, it can be opened within Excel, where information such as the style name, fabric weight and price for each color can be added.

Once all the necessary information is entered in Excel, users go back to Inksoft and choose “batch update” to upload the information. This dramatically speeds up the process of entering product information one color at time, according to the company.

The bulk color uploader works in tandem with the bulk image uploader, which can be used to batch upload product photography.

All “Cup of Joe” blogs will be archived at the Inksoft Knowledge base.
