Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA), Fairfax, Va., is hosting its “Totally T-Shirts! Garment Screen Printing” workshop, which features a new look at the art and science of apparel decorating in a fun, collaborative learning environment, according to the association.
From experienced printers to beginners in the industry this workshop provides hands-on experience with: advanced screen making techniques; high-end shirt treatments; parameters for proper flashing and curing; production tips and tricks that increase efficiency, throughput and yield; proper methods for squeegee selection, print stroke speed and angle; and the latest inks and printing techniques such as simulated process, water-based inks, special effects, gels, glitters and foils.
The workshop will be held May 29-31, pricing is $449 for attendees and SGIA members will receive a 25% discount. — D.S.
