Mahwah, NJ – 613 Originals recently announced the appointment of Deric Hoch as its new Chief Executive Officer. Hoch replaces Frank Flanagan, 613 Originals’ founder, who will continue on in the revised role of advisor and board member.
According to 613 Originals, as vice president of operations since joining the company in 2020, Deric has been integral in the ongoing growth of the company through an expansion of its product portfolio, the transition to a larger facility and the creation of a increasingly strong, diverse management and production team.
“I’m honored to step into this role and lead 613 Originals into its next phase,” Hoch says. “Frank has been an incredible mentor, and I’m proud to lead a team that continues to redefine what it means to be the best partner in this industry.”
Looking ahead, Hoch says, “2024 is going to be a big year for 613 Originals. I believe our customers will love the new products and improved services we’ll be launching soon, all while maintaining the excellent customer care that’s become synonymous with our brand.”
With nearly 30 years of experience in the screen-printing and apparel decoration industry, Hoch says he is always looking for new and interesting decorating techniques to inform and develop innovative products to bring to market. To this end he has long made it a priority to work alongside companies 613 Original serves, from local shops to enterprise accounts, in an effort to find the solutions that best fit their needs.
“I’ve been in the printing industry for over 40 years,” Flanagan says of the changing of the guard at 613 Originals, “and have always believed that you lead with the basics: integrity, honesty, quality, and common sense. I’ve met a lot of leaders [but] Deric stands apart. I’m confident in our incredible team and am excited for the future of 613 Originals.”
Flanagan founded the company, which specializes in custom screen-printed heat transfers, in 2018. The is based in Mahwah, New Jersey, with additional offices and facilities located in Hollywood and New Port Richey, Florida.
Flanagan started out in 1981 with his own screen-printing business, selling souvenir shirts from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Seaside Heights, New Jersey. In early 1983, he says, he discovered heat transfers, which resulted in the creation of 613 Originals. For the latest on the company, click HERE.
