Dalco Athletic, Dallas, recently created a United States flag for the Kansas Braille Transcription Institute in Wichita, Kan.
The flag has the Pledge of Allegiance written using black Permacad heat-transfer cutting material. Under the lettering, the pledge is repeated in braille using silver nailheads.
The pledge was created on a vinyl cutter as the words were created as transfers on a clear carrier sheet. It was run through a dye-sublimation heater that bonded them to the flag. — M.Q.
