SAN DONÀ DI PIAVE, Italy — Atlantis, the sustainable headwear brand owned by Master Italia, announced it is continuing to invest in Bosco dei Racconti, a private forest located near the company’s headquarters in San Donà di Piave, Italy, as part of its long-term sustainability strategy.
The woodland project, situated approximately 8 kilometers from Atlantis headquarters, has become a centerpiece of the company’s environmental stewardship efforts. What began as a simple question about how to utilize the forest has evolved into an ongoing initiative focused on conservation, biodiversity and carbon sequestration.
Forest Project Supports Carbon Reduction Goals
Today, Bosco dei Racconti encompasses 567 trees representing more than 50 species across 1.35 hectares of woodland. According to Atlantis, the forest has absorbed approximately 182 tons of carbon dioxide since its creation and continues to capture roughly 6 tons annually, an amount equivalent to the yearly emissions of about three passenger vehicles.
“As part of its long-term commitment to environmental stewardship, Atlantis and its parent company, Master Italia, remain dedicated to preserving and caring for this natural heritage,” said Federico Pasini. “What began as a simple question — ‘What can we do with this forest?’ — has grown into an ongoing project that reflects the company’s environmental values.”

Mapping and Monitoring Biodiversity
To better understand and protect the woodland, Atlantis partnered with Divisione Energia Srl, a firm specializing in energy and environmental projects. Together, the organizations surveyed and georeferenced every tree in the forest, developed a detailed CO₂ absorption report, created a digital thematic map and installed educational panels throughout the site.
The project also highlights the diversity of tree species within the forest. From Common Walnut (Juglans regia) to dozens of additional varieties, the woodland serves as both a biodiversity resource and a natural carbon sink.
Decorated-Apparel Sustainability Education and Long-Term Impact
Atlantis says Bosco dei Racconti remains an important component of its broader sustainability journey. The company views the project as a long-term investment in environmental responsibility and community education.
“Bosco dei Racconti remains an important part of our sustainability journey,” said Federico Pasini, vice president of Atlantis Headwear. “These trees are ambassadors of our environmental commitment, and we will continue caring for them for years to come.”
The company noted that meaningful environmental impact requires ongoing stewardship and collective action, principles that continue to guide its sustainability initiatives.
